The Back 9 MX Club By-Laws

Opening Minutes:

Robert's Rules of Order shall govern the proceedings of this club unless otherwise provided by these by-laws. The order of business shall be:

- Roll call

- Reading of minutes of previous meeting

- Report of officers

- Old business

- New business

Number II:

-Standing committees shall be the Facilities Committee, Marketing Committee, Activities Committee, each made up of three members.

-The Facilities Committee shall have supervision of the clubhouse or property, if applicable, and be responsible for the maintenance of order and the upkeep of the facilities.

-The Marketing Committee shall be responsible for promotion of club events made available to the public and drafting up ways to recruit new club members.

-The Activities Committee, with the road captain and/or referee acting as chairman, shall have general charge of all sanctioned events and club social functions.

-Other committees may be appointed as necessary by the president.

Number III:

  - All bills must be reviewed and approved by the executive board before they are paid. All checks should be signed by both the treasurer and an additional officer. 

Number IV:

A member may be expelled for conduct unbecoming a member of the club, but charges must first be made in writing and the accused member given a hearing before the executive board. The executive board shall take evidence and report its findings to the club with the recommendation that the charges be considered proven and the accused member be expelled, or the charges be considered not proven and the accused remain a member of the club. The club shall then vote whether the recommendation of the executive board shall be adopted. It shall require a two-thirds vote of the active members present and entitled to vote to veto the recommendation of the executive board. 

 Number V:

- $50 Club Dues qualify you for an annual membership for remainder of calendar year

- First Open Practice Session post dues submission is free of charge.

- Each club member must participate in 4 hours of volunteer track duty per calendar season.

 Number VI:

Only active members may hold office.
